Shounak Mehta, Lawyer
Shounak is the principal lawyer at Juriscorp Law Offices. Before his admission to the Alberta Bar in 2014, he practiced law in Mumbai, India for five years, and is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, and Marathi. Shounak’s practice consists of real estate, business and commercial transactions, and wills and estate planning. His clientele includes individuals and corporations including start-ups.
Shounak has a Bachelor’s of Legal Sciences and Bachelor’s of Law degree from Mumbai, India. He completed his accreditation process in Toronto before moving to Edmonton. He articled with Mr. Charles R. Allard and continued working as an associate there before branching out and founding Juriscorp Law Offices in early 2016.
His overall career highlights include working with one of the world’s largest law firms in their corporate department, assisting a reputed Edmonton criminal lawyer at the Supreme Court of Canada, Ottawa and shadowing the former Chief Justice of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta on an arbitration in Calgary. Shounak is happily married to Miral, who is an ophthalmologist, and is a father of two wonderful kids aged four and six.
Shounak is also a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association. His hobbies and interests include squash, golfing, travelling, and spending time with his family.
