Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: October 23, 2025
Website: juriscorplaw.ca (the “Site”)
Owner/Operator: Juriscorp Law (“we”, “us”, “our”)

By accessing or using the Site, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1) About the Site (No Legal Advice)

The Site provides general information about our firm and the legal services we offer in Alberta. Nothing on this Site is legal advice, and no solicitor-client relationship is created by browsing the Site, sending us a message, or submitting a payment. We become your lawyers only after we perform conflicts checks and deliver a written engagement/retainer agreement signed by us.

2) Eligibility & Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Site, including by (a) attempting to gain unauthorized access, (b) introducing malware, (c) scraping or data-mining, or (d) infringing any law or third-party rights. We may suspend or restrict access to protect the Site, our clients, or the public.

3) Intellectual Property

All content on the Site—including text, images, logos, documents, and downloadable materials—is owned by Juriscorp Law or licensed to us and is protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

4) Third-Party Websites

The Site may link to third-party sites and services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

5) Online Payments (Square Hosted Checkout)

We offer the ability to pay fees and invoices online using Square, Inc. (“Square”) through Square’s Hosted Payment Link.

How it works. When you click “Pay,” you are redirected to a Square-hosted checkout page. Card information is entered directly on Square’s page and is not collected or stored by our Site.

Information we receive. We receive limited payment information from Square (e.g., name, email, amount, date, last-4 digits, transaction ID, invoice/reference number) for reconciliation, receipts, accounting, and compliance.

Currency & taxes. Charges are processed in Canadian dollars (CAD). Applicable taxes will be added where required.

Billing errors. If you believe there is a billing error, contact us at info@juriscorplaw.ca
before initiating a chargeback so we can investigate and correct any issue quickly.

Square’s terms. Your payment is also subject to Square’s terms and privacy policy. Square may process data outside Alberta/Canada (including the United States).

5.1 What payments are appropriate online

Unless we tell you otherwise in writing, the online link is intended for fee and expense payments against invoices. Do not use the online link to send retainers or trust deposits unless we have expressly instructed you to do so and provided the correct instructions. Trust monies are handled in accordance with the Law Society of Alberta rules.

5.2 Refunds & Cancellations

Fee/invoice payments. Payments for fees already earned or costs already incurred are generally non-refundable, subject to applicable law.

Pre-paid amounts. If you have made a payment and we have not yet rendered services to that amount, we will review reasonable refund requests.

How to request. Email info@juriscorplaw.ca
with your name, invoice number, payment date/amount, and reason. Approved refunds are returned via the original method where possible.

5.3 Chargebacks

You agree to first contact us to resolve any billing dispute. If you initiate a chargeback, we may provide documentation to the payment processor demonstrating the validity of the charge.

6) No Engagement by Payment Alone

Submitting an online payment does not create a solicitor-client relationship, guarantee representation, or constitute legal advice. We will confirm representation only after conflicts checks and a signed engagement agreement.

7) Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, whom we share it with (including Square as our payment processor), cross-border processing, retention, and your rights under PIPEDA/Alberta PIPA. We do not store card numbers or CVV on our systems.

8) Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Site.

9) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Juriscorp Law and our partners, directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Site or online payments.

10) Indemnity

Except where prohibited by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Juriscorp Law and our personnel from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

11) Changes to the Site or These Terms

We may update the Site and these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12) Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable in Alberta, without regard to conflicts of law rules. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta for any dispute relating to these Terms or the Site.

13) Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
